Custom Made Medications
Compounding At Maple Mountain Pharmacy
Our pharmacy team consists of certified experts in the art of compounding, and we will work with you and your physician to try and help find a personalized solution to your medication needs. Prescription medications are not one-size-fits-all solutions. What may work for one patient may not be advisable or meet the needs of another.
Here are a few examples of why a standard drug form or dose may need to be altered:
- Patient allergies or preferences (sugar, gluten, preservative, and alcohol-free, etc.)
- Pill or capsule is too large to swallow comfortably
- Medication may have an unpleasant taste
- The dose needed is not commercially available
- Inability to take medication due to nausea/vomiting or weakness of throat muscles
- Patient has a hard time remembering to take medication as directed
- Overwhelming number of medications
- Medication may be out of production
- Inconvenient medication form
When medications are not taken properly, costly consequences can result, including physician or emergency room visits, lost time from work or school, and overall worsening of the patient’s disease state. Please reach out to our compounding pharmacy in Utah if you are experiencing any of these medication problems. We will do everything we can to create a compounded solution that increases your ability to take your medication safely and experience the maximum benefit.
See How We Can HelpBioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
We use bioidentical hormones derived from plant sources instead of synthetic hormones used in traditional hormone therapies. The hormones in BHRT are identical in structure and function to the hormones your body naturally produces. This type of treatment can be made to fit the exact dosage strength your body needs to rebalance your hormones effectively.
